Recommend trip to Kurume in Fukuoka!

This time, I would like to recommend a trip to Kurume! Kurume is easily accessible from Fukuoka Airport and Saga Airport. It is 45 minutes by highway bus from Fukuoka Airport. From JR Hakata Station, you can arrive by Shinkansen in 17 minutes. There are many spots where you can enjoy traveling in Japan all four seasons.

1. Nishitetsu Kurume Station

Arriving at Nishitetsu Kurume Station by train! There are coin lockers to store luggage, and there are many buses that depart from the station, so you can easily go anywhere.

2. Ishibashi Cultural Center “Rakusuitei”

3. Kurume Castle Ruins

The view from the hill overlooking the Chikugo is beautiful, and you can feel the history from the stone walls. Kurume Castle Ruins is a spot where you can enjoy cherry blossoms in the spring and autumn leaves in autumn.

4. Kora Shrine

Since ancient times, it has been a important shrine of Chikugo. There is a mountain path from the foot of Mitarai Pond to the main shrine, and there is a small shrine along the way.

Recommended for those who like mountain climbing.

If you do your best and go up the mountain path, you will reach the magnificent main shrine.

5. Karakuri Taiko Clock

The Karakuri Taiko Clock in front of the JR Kurume Station plays a melody at a certain time while the clock face rotates, lights turn on, dolls appear, and various patterns appear to delight the viewer. From 8:00am to 7:00pm, the highlights are every 30 minutes and new hour!

6. Catholic Kurume Church

The Catholic Kurume Church is beautifully lit up in Kurume at night.Both the church and the sidewalk are very beautiful.

It is about 10 minutes on foot from Nishitetsu Kurume Station.

7. Kurume Ramen “Seiyoken”

If you think of Kurume specialty foods, Kurume ramen is recommended.

The scenery of the Chikugo River and the setting sun flows slowly. It is like looking at art.

10. Nishitetsu Bus (direct to Fukuoka Airport)

The bus to Fukuoka Airport is more convenient that the train. It is a direct trip without transfer from Nishitetsu Kurume Station to Fukuoka Airport. If you do not know where the bus stop is, ask the bus information desk. Tickets are also sold at the information desk.
